Burke Select Band-Aid Donation
Burke Select teams participated in a donation drive for band-aids to benefit pediatric cancer patients. A total of 155 boxes were collected, to be distributed to Children's Hospital in Washington, DC and Inova in Fairfax, VA. Burke Select Basketball stands committed to foster winners on and off the court and contribute to those less fortunate in our communities. A big thank you to 6th grade girls coach Mark Magliocchetti for spearheading this effort and Burke Sporting Goods for serving as a collection point.

Ali Allouche, a one-time Burke player and current WT Woodson junior, is currently undergoing bone cancer treatment. Ali is the big brother of Silas, a current 8th grade Burke travel player. To honor and encourage Ali's battle with cancer, all three boys eighth grade travel teams have dedicated their seasons to Ali. The Washington Wizards donated items to Ali, to include a signed ball as well as another ball that was signed by all three eighth grade teams.
